A pear cut cubic zirconia measuring 1.5mm by 3mm forms the teardrop top of this flat back stud. The body is 925 sterling silver, the closure is a threadless push pin, and the size selection sets a 5mm, 6mm or 8mm post or the top on its own.

What shape and stone does this stud use?

The top is a single pear, or teardrop, cut cubic zirconia, narrow at one end and rounded at the other, which is why it reads as directional when you stack it with round studs. It is listed with our flat back earrings and is for an existing healed piercing.

How does the threadless closure work?

The decorative top ends in a pin that is inserted into the post and held by tension, so there is nothing to screw together.

Is the stone a real diamond?

No. It is a pear cut cubic zirconia, cut to give a bright white sparkle at a tiny 1.5mm by 3mm size.

Will one order cover both ears?

No. The stud is sold in single, so choose two if you want a matching pair.
