this is NOT an 18G stud! It is 16 G. I tried putting it in a piercing I have that was pierced as 18g and it was very painful, then I took it out and tried putting just the head into a post that I know 100% is 18g and it did not fit. I then took it to a trusted piercer and they assured me it was 16g. This is a beautiful and high quality looking piece of jewelry but selling the wrong gauge as advertised is misleading and can be super harmful to piercings, especially cartilage :(

I was a little hesitant when I received it due to some reviews saying they ordered the wrong size (and I just guessed) but I love it. It is cute, it fills my hole (ha), and it is not big or bulky but just blends in. Just how I wanted it for keeping my teenage piercing open... as a 40-year-old adult.
